Lovense Dolce Review

Lovense Dolce Review

WHAT IS IT?

The Lovense Dolce is a similar concept to the Flexer. It’s a remotely controllable vibrator that utilises Bluetooth connectivity to control it.

The Dolce has two vibrating points, one internal and one external - so for your g spot and clitoris. They can be individually controlled, allowing you - or whomever you are playing with - to focus on one area specifically, or really go for overstimulation and turn them both up to the highest setting in one go. The dual stimulation helps to create intensity and makes this a lot more fun than your regular vibrator. It’s a really great toy for giving you what you need (in terms of vibrations) and I think it is quite a popular choice!

The Dolce is very flexible, meaning - to some extent - you are able to position it in the most comfortable position for your g-spot and clitoris. The neck bends so it will fit quite a lot of people, meaning you don’t need to worry about the size of the space between the two vibrating heads.

HOW IS IT USED?

To use the Dolce, you insert it into yourself - making sure the toy’s neck is in the best position for you, then turn it on and use the app to control it. You can also ‘give’ control through your profile and the chat function.

As with all Lovense products, you use the app to control it. Here, you can create and use patterns, play a platformer game (that makes the Dolce vibrate), sync the toy to different videos, including porn, use the ‘sound’ mode (which utilises your phone’s microphone) and use the speed mode - which makes travelling really fun.

The Dolce boasts 1.5-2 Hours of Continuous Use - which is pretty good. It helps to prevent the awfulness of a toy dying just as you’re reaching orgasm. I think this is quite accurate too, I have definitely had it on continuously for around an hour and it didn’t die.

WHAT DO I THINK?

This was the very first Lovense toy I tried; and as with the Flexer, I was really blown away by how powerful it was. I liked how soft the material was, it did not feel rough inside me or on my skin, and didn’t move too much from the vibrations - the Dolce stayed pretty snugly inside me with every use, and it has always been very enjoyable

I will say that I don’t find this as comfortable, despite it being flexible. For me, I think it’s just a little bit too bulky in comparison to the Flexer, meaning I can’t see myself being able to keep it in for quite as long. As with every toy, this may not be the same for you - in fact I know people who do find that they are the very opposite. The Flexer is uncomfortable, whereas the Dolce is very comfortable for them.

Controlling the toy on others is also a lot of fun, the app allows for you to be quite sneaky with controls, meaning you are able to surprise the person you’re playing with even if you are in public and cannot take your phone out that easily - of course, this is made even easier with the patterns from the app, as you can just choose one (or create one in advance), press play and go. Being on either end is a lot of fun. I will also say that sometimes it feels like it loses connection a lot more than their other products - which can spoil the fun somewhat. But for solo play, or play that doesn’t involve being in public where you may get separated, this is not as noticeable or notable.

GENERAL INFO

The Dolce costs £210, but is almost always on sale - a fairly average price point for Lovense toys, or many Bluetooth controlled toys. I think this is the most fun part of the toy; the endless possibilities that come with Bluetooth connection. Public play, long distance play, play with strangers from internet forums… There are lots of really hot concepts and I always have so much fun exploring the possibilities. You can read a piece of erotica inspired by one of my experiences with the Dolce.

It’s quite loud unless you’re in public, due to how intense it is. You may be able to hear it if you go into a quiet public space, but on the whole I haven’t heard the toy when I have worn it or been with people wearing it in public.

It’s also really important for me to say that the remote for this, and all lovense toys, is an app, meaning you probably won’t be able to control it at a sex party where phones are banned. I am working on a work around for this, and may inform the blog about it when I have this set up.

Ratings:

Price: For a toy that utilises the internet and bluetooth for long distance play, I’d say the price is alright - it’s not the cheapest, but it’s sturdy and a lot of fun. 3.5/5

Design: Not as ergonomic as other toys, but the flexibility is a huge plus. 3.5/5

Ease of use: Put it in, turn it on and play. The only note here is the aforementioned loss of connection issues. 4/5

Comfort: For me, it is not that comfortable, but this might be different for others. 2.5/5
