Introduction

Why did I create this blog? What’s the purpose of this blog? What will you see on this blog?

All these are great questions. To start, I’ll introduce myself. I’m Casey, I’m in my mid 20s and I’m pretty active on the London kink scene, and have been for quite a while. I’m very confident and chatty, and as it’s probably very important for the intended audience, I’m a switch.

Casey is a pen name, nobody knows who ‘Casey’ is and nobody will meet ‘Casey’, but she’ll be around, at a large variety of events. Many people have already met ‘Casey’, at various events across the city, and many more people will continue to meet her and will never know that they have. She’ll stay an anonymous figure; just another kinkster in London. ‘Casey’ is anonymous solely for fairness and honesty. You can’t bribe someone you don’t know.

Welcome to my blog! Keep reading to find out why I started this and exactly what for - I’ve already got some posts up, but an introduction to the blog is something essential, I think.

The initial idea for my blog was to have a place to express my thoughts on the London scene; the munches, parties, venues and anything else linked to it. I’ve been to a fair few munches, parties and other events, and for some of them, I wish I’d have seen a review beforehand. Obviously everyone is going to have a different experience, but it really helps to have some background knowledge of what to expect, especially when it’s your first time going somewhere. I remember the night of the first munch I had attended; I was so nervous, (and I’m naturally very confident!) I had no idea what it would be like or where to go when I arrived at the pub. It took a while to get into the swing of it and start talking to people - and I’m so glad I did, but the nerves I felt on my way to the munch were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. So providing a baseline for other people in that situation is something I’d love to do; hence why I set up this blog. Some people have terrible experiences at their first munch, and I’d love to welcome these people back onto the scene by allowing them to almost experience a munch virtually.

For parties too, it’s just as, if not more, important. These can be SO intimidating at first, and they’re oftentimes nothing like the imagined images people have. But without any reviews, how are you supposed to know what to expect? I’m at a place wherein I feel experienced enough to provide honest and fair reviews of events, which is exactly why this blog exists.

I then decided I would also include reviews of sex toys and equipment, as I think these are so valuable. Oftentimes the reviews you see on websites are cherrypicked, only showing the most positive ones - and the disappointment felt when something doesn’t live up to your expectations is heart-breaking. It’s good to know the truth, and what’s worth it - on the other hand, knowing that what other reviews say is true is so good to have. It can be hard to know what to expect from the provided copy, so hopefully I’ll explain well enough to give the most accurate view of toys and kink gear. (Such as if toys are stingy or thuddy, how powerful they are, etc). Ultimately, being able to eventually call myself an sex toy expert is simultaneously a title I want to hold and totally hilarious. I’d like to review in specific rated categories - Price, design, ease of use and comfort (for impact toys, this would be changed to how painful they are!) are my initial ideas on how to do this, but this may change with time and feedback.

After deciding to add this, I thought of adding my fictional writing, which quickly expanded to include non-fiction - my thoughts and experiences, what I’ve gotten up to lately and just writing about how I’m feeling. All related to kink, of course, that’s the overarching, connecting theme for my blog! I enjoy coming up with fictional stories - and have already posted a few - these are usually born from a mix of things I’ve seen and things I’ve dreamt up. Non fiction writing will be a slice of my life, you can get to know me better, and having a place to talk about what I’ve done is definitely something I’m going to be grateful to have. It’s hardly something I can discuss with my colleagues! I won’t discuss everything I get up to, but the exhibitionist in me loved the idea of sharing what I do with a bunch of people I don’t know, so it has many benefits - think of these sections as a multipurpose diary. We’ll both get something out of it, I hope.

I’d love readers of my blog to reach out to me via my E-Mail, Twitter, or Instagram, with anything they want to see, include in my reviews, have me discuss etc. I’m always open to suggestions, I really want this blog to have a positive impact among the scene, which is why your opinions and thoughts matter so much to me! I don’t bite. Unless you ask politely, that is.
