Kinky Tease Review

Kinky Tease Review

2023, Jun 23

I have attended a couple of Kinky Tease parties, the last time being about a month ago; just like the time before, it was a fantastic experience. Even when I wasn’t playing, I felt welcomed and safe, comfortable to talk to other attendees in the non-play area. Each time I’ve been I’ve found the events to be populated by wonderful, friendly people. There are three events per month - a KT Party (3rd Friday of the month), KT Extreme (4th/5th Sunday of the month) and a munch (1st Wednesday of the month)

The venue has a huge range of furnishings, practically everything you could dream of - which makes it so worthwhile the entrance fee (this is quite low compared to other events!). There are swings, St. Andrews Crosses, cages and thrones to name a few, alongside comfortable beds. There’s a mix of locking and non locking rooms, which is a really nice idea, as you’re not forced into playing publicly. All the furnishings feel well made, and I’ve watched many creative sessions taking place on them.

The venue, Penthouse Playrooms, is huge - there’s so many rooms and spaces available, meaning you’re almost always going to find somewhere to play. It doesn’t feel cramped, at least when I’ve been, meaning you never feel like you’re in somebody’s way, even when you’re trying to get to a different part of the venue that may be behind someone. It’s clearly had a lot of thought put into it to provide a good space for the community it serves - and it’s not even primarily a kink venue!

The hosts are so welcoming, always willing to give newbies a tour of the venue. This was so useful when I first attended, as it allowed me to see every room - rather than just discovering them on my own and not being sure where to start. They’re approachable and professional, but with that all important friendly touch.

The location is somewhat far from London, which is a downside, but you can get there easily by public transport. Obviously this doesn’t affect people who aren’t coming from London, but if you are it can be a little bit difficult on Fridays, however there are a lot of hotels nearby and they’re all priced incredibly well. In my opinion, it’s totally worth it - especially when split between two or more. Being outside of London definitely allows the space to be as big as it is, and also means that it’s quite quick for people from surrounding towns to get to, so there’s a real mix of people each time. The average age is somewhat older than the London scene, but it’s not noticeable, and doesn’t matter too much to me anyway.

This is one of the events I really love, and wish I could attend more. It’s clearly very loved, and deservedly so.

KTs are held at Penthouse Playrooms, Dunstable, LU6 1LW. You can find out more here

Location: Great for if you live in the surrpunding area, but not that easy to get home from on fridays for Londoners. 3/5

Price: Very reasonable considering the amount of play spots and cake. 4/5

Safety: Very welcoming and kind staff, who seem extremely experienced. 5/5

Fun: Even when not playing I always have fun as the other attendees are lovely and they play great music! 4.5/5
